Board Advisor

Wendy Owen joined Nightingale HQ as Board Advisor in September 2026. She has spent over 35 years giving international technical advice on safety and compliance.

Her career covers some of the world’s most heavily regulated industries:

  • Energy, including nuclear, fusion and small modular reactors
  • Defence, covering naval and ordnance
  • Rail, including infrastructure and signalling
  • Process industries, oil and gas
  • Construction and building safety
  • Aerospace and automotive

Wendy has held senior engineering consultancy and technical director roles at Arcadis, Jacobs and Costain. She advises Innovate UK and Nuclear Consulting Ltd, and she is a member of Women Angels of Wales.

She is a Fellow of the Safety and Reliability Society and a Fellow of the Women’s Engineering Society. She has co-authored several major industry publications and peer reviews conference papers for two professional bodies.
