With a passion and strong background in technology, I begun my journey with a first-class degree in Mechanical Engineering, reinforcing engineering principles and applying them to practical applications through various projects.

Soon after, I began my year-long internship at Microsoft as a Cloud Solutions Architect. I specialized in areas such as DevOps, Power Platform, and cloud-native, creating end-to-end solutions, proof-of-concepts, and workshops to customers to help them leverage the power of the cloud and Azure services.

Currently, I am serving as a Cloud Solutions Engineer at Nightingale HQ, where I focus on bringing cloud infrastructure and AI technologies to the manufacturing industry.

As an Early in Career, I continuously seek opportunities to create transformative solutions and aim to contribute, impact, and empower others to do more with technology.

At GoSmarter, Joshua applies the cloud architecture skills he developed at Microsoft to the specific challenges of manufacturing — an industry that has historically been slow to adopt cloud-native approaches because the cost of downtime is so high and the tolerance for unreliable software is so low. He brings a rigorous, enterprise-grade approach to cloud infrastructure that gives manufacturers the confidence to modernise without disruption.

His internship at Microsoft gave him exposure to the full breadth of Azure’s capabilities and the commercial disciplines needed to translate technical possibilities into solutions customers will actually adopt. Working directly with enterprise customers on proof-of-concepts and workshops, he learned how to communicate complex cloud architecture to non-technical stakeholders — a skill that is just as important in manufacturing as it is in tech.

Joshua is motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact early in his career. Manufacturing is one of the industries where better technology can make the fastest practical difference — reducing waste, improving margins, and removing the kind of tedious manual work that nobody should be doing in 2025. That is the work GoSmarter does, and it is the work he is committed to.
