GoSmarter Partners

Strategic partners play a vital role in our growth and innovation. By collaborating closely on product development, market expansion, and shared technology roadmaps, our partners help accelerate our ability to deliver smarter, more scalable solutions.
We are proud to collaborate with leading businesses across the globe.
WattTime.org a leading U.S. environmental tech non-profit and spin-out from UC Berkeley that provides electricity grid emissions data signals around the world. This partnership enables us to build carbon-aware solutions that help reduce emissions rather than amplify them.
King’s College London working with Dr. Amanda Coles and her team to bring advanced, explainable AI planning into the metals industry. We get to combine cutting-edge research with our industrial and software development expertise.
EU & UK funded Research project “Re-imagining Design & Planning for Greener Reinforcement Steel Manufacturing” (DPGSM)". Partnering with Midland Steel, KUKA Robotics Ireland, OCSC Engineers, Bastal Steel Norway, VTT Research and Innovation Institute Finland.
Why partnerships matter for manufacturing AI
Building AI that works reliably in manufacturing requires more than good software. It requires deep industry knowledge, access to real operational data, validated research, and the ability to deploy solutions into environments where reliability is non-negotiable. No single organisation can do all of that alone.
GoSmarter’s partnerships bring together complementary expertise across technology, research, and industry, enabling us to build solutions that are grounded in real-world manufacturing requirements and backed by peer-reviewed science.
Technology partnerships
Our technology partnerships give GoSmarter access to the latest capabilities in cloud computing, AI, and sustainability data. Working with WattTime, we integrate live electricity grid emissions data into our carbon reporting features, giving manufacturers accurate, location-specific emissions figures rather than averages. This makes our sustainability tools genuinely useful rather than decorative.
Research partnerships
Our collaboration with King’s College London brings academic expertise in planning and optimisation to the challenges of steel manufacturing. Dr Amanda Coles and her team bring cutting-edge research in explainable AI planning — the kind of AI that can show its working, which is essential in environments where a planner needs to understand and trust the recommendation before acting on it.
The EU and UK funded DPGSM research project — Re-imagining Design and Planning for Greener Reinforcement Steel Manufacturing — brings together a consortium that spans software development, robotics, engineering, and materials science. Working with Midland Steel, KUKA Robotics Ireland, OCSC Engineers, Bastal Steel Norway, and VTT Research and Innovation Institute Finland, this project is pushing the frontier of what is possible in sustainable steel manufacturing.
