Nightingale HQ Appoints Wendy Owen as Board Advisor
Nightingale HQ (NHQ), the company behind GoSmarter, the end-to-end traceability platform for metals manufacturers, has appointed Wendy Owen as Board Advisor.
Wendy brings over 35 years of international technical advisory experience in safety and compliance. Her career spans some of the world’s most heavily regulated industries:
- Energy, including nuclear, fusion and small modular reactors
- Defence, covering naval and ordnance
- Rail, including infrastructure and signalling
- Process industries, including Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulation, oil and gas
- Construction and building safety
- Aerospace and automotive
She has held senior engineering consultancy and technical director roles at organisations including Arcadis, Jacobs and Costain. She currently holds advisory roles with Innovate UK and Nuclear Consulting Ltd, and is a member of Women Angels of Wales.
Wendy is a Fellow of the Safety and Reliability Society and a Fellow of the Women’s Engineering Society. She has co-authored several major industry publications, sits on a professional steering committee, and peer reviews conference papers for two professional bodies.

The appointment follows a period of governance development at Nightingale HQ, as the company formalises its board ahead of its next growth phase.
