What we work on

GoSmarter is AI for metals manufacturers. We build tools that replace spreadsheets and manual processes — cutting optimisation, mill certificate reading, inventory management, compliance tracking, and production planning. The problems we solve are unglamorous but genuinely important: wasted material, missed compliance deadlines, hours lost to data entry. Our work makes a measurable difference to the businesses using it, and that matters to our team.

Who we hire

We hire engineers, data scientists, designers, and commercial people who want to work on real problems in an industry that is ready for change. You do not need a manufacturing background — you need curiosity, rigour, and the ability to communicate clearly with people who are not technical. We work with production managers, quality engineers, and finance teams, so the ability to translate between technical and operational language is genuinely valued.

We have hired people from aerospace engineering, English literature, science communication, finance, and logistics. What they have in common is that they are good at their craft and they want to apply it to something that matters.

How we work

We are a small team, which means your work has a visible impact quickly. Cardiff-based with a remote-friendly culture, we keep meetings lean and documentation strong. We use modern cloud tooling across Azure, .NET, and Blazor, with Python and data science work using standard open-source tooling. We deploy regularly and we fix things that are broken rather than working around them.

We are serious about sustainability — in how we build products, in how we hire, and in the pace we set for our team. We do not burn people out, and we do not pretend that working unsustainable hours is a badge of honour.
